The Shwedagon Paya temple complex was very busy on the Saturday afternoon we visited. These monks were proudly standing in front of the chedi having a group photo taken and were happy to pose for one more photo by a mad Australian.

A visit to Yangon

While I am no longer in Asia, but home and now in the US on "summer break"  I thought I would share some of my experiences in Yangon with my loyal blog followers over the next two weeks.  Photos will be coming to your in box every second day rather than every day, so you can have a break too.
Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is amazing.  While I have already posted about it,

 it is so fantastic there will be more photos such as these with me in front of the gold dome of the chedi.
